Great South Coast Startup Ecosystem

Warrnambool City Council received funding through LaunchVic’s Support For Regional Victorian Startup Entrepreneur Programs funding round to deliver the Great South Coast Startup Ecosystem program.

To strengthen the innovative startup culture in the Great South Coast, Warrnambool City will lead a program of activities aimed at accelerating the ecosystem and supporting startup and scale-up potential in the Great South Coast region.

The project will coordinate ecosystem-building activities, as well as provide a virtual community space to reach the regional catchment that is sparsely populated. The focus will be establishing a sustainable regional startup hub enabling the creation of supporting infrastructure and building a culture of entrepreneurship.

Activities will include mentoring and networking events, speaking engagements, meetups, Ignite pre-accelerator program, bootcamps, collaboration with Startup Victoria on a value-adding platform, and pitch nights.
